Origin

Born beneath the waves as many of her kin have, it didn't take long for Sayu's curiosity to bubble freely, always staring up at the glistening sun above the tides. Such wonders were best left to her imagination, however, for the sight of a Raen fresh from the depths always seems to catch an eye or two. In this case, it was three, and quickly was she scooped up and carted off to become one of many of the Imperial's war prisoners.

Escape

Working day in and day out as a mender to her captors, Sayu grew complacent with her duties, lacking in the pride that many carry with their jobs but still no less effective. It took the fortune of a ceruleum engine exploding in the air above to send the camp into chaos, enough of such that Sayu was grabbed and carried off with a fair few other refugees. Rescued by circumstance and with no real effort on her part.

Life in Eorzea

Sayu was not kept around her rescuers for very long, the clumsy girl more a burden than a boon - even with her natural affinity towards healing - getting stuck, falling over, and attracting attention with impressive consistency. Dropped off in Ul'dah, the girl was forced to fend for herself in a strange new land, taking various adventuring contracts and embarrassing Gold Saucer employment opportunities simply to make ends meet.This is where Sayu can be found now, wandering Eorzea with little real direction in her life.
